Pumpkin Patch

Today was an important day in the life of Baby Egg Yolk Chiang.  Baby ventured to her first Pumpkin Patch.  She was joined by her Aunt Peggy and Favorite Uncle Cameron, along with Cousin Maia.  At the Patch she was able to ride a tractor, choose a pumpkin (with parental help of course), and even complete a hay maze with cousin Maia.  Sort of. Then she was driven home, where she rested while the parentals decorated their pumpkins.  This year we decided to avoid the knives and other dangers by painting our pumpkins.  Bob made an ogre, I made a pregnant ghost, and Baby made and Egg Yolk pumpkin.  You can see pictures below, narrated by Bob. (My comments are in parenthesis).

Just barely conscious, Baby Daddy is stepping back out of the little house. Apparently, if you try to stand up you get knocked out by the rafters. For a rocket scientist, couldn't he have figured that out before being conked on the head?
(Bob isn't making this up.  He really did this.  With an audience of two or three seven year olds.)

Baby Mama amongst goards of many shapes and sizes.(Hiding her baby bump which shouldn't be quite as big as it is already.)

Green acres is the place to be,
farm living is the life for me...

(Notice the ogre, pregnant ghost and egg yolk to the right.  We did that. :)

Our Little Egg Yolk Thing

Today was our first sonogram, and so we decided to start the baby blog. We found out our embryo has a heartbeat (145 beats/minute) and an egg yolk. If you look at the sonogram pics, that head-looking thing is not a head. It's the egg yolk sac. Hmm. Didn't know I had one of those. The kid is 8 weeks old, and Bob was disappointed to find out that there was only one kid in there (though my uterus was relieved). You should expect to hear from the kid about May 17, 2009.
Can I just say one thing about sonograms-- they don't do them like you see on t.v. apparently. That's all I can say without being censored.

Ultrasound temporarily removed... It will be back soon, promise!
